Disability Employment Awareness Month 2008

The Southwest Georgia Employer Committee's monthly meeting was held October 15th, 2008, in the conference room of the Georgia Department of Labor Bainbridge Career Center.

 

Sexual Harassment Seminar

The SWGA Employer Committee, Bainbridge Career Center and Bainbridge College hosted a Sexual Harassment Seminar on July 17, 2008, with approximately 44 participants attending the training. Greg McDonald, Director of Continuing Education with Bainbridge College presented the seminar which was held at the Bainbridge/Decatur County Industrial Park Training Center.

 

SWGA Job Fair

Approximately 300 job seekers from all over the Southwest GA area came to the Cloud Livestock Facility located at the Bainbridge/Decatur Co. Fair Grounds on May 6, 2008, from 1:00 pm-6:00 pm to meet with Human Resource Directors from approximately 30 different agencies in hopes of finding employment and gaining career guidance.

 

Holiday Gift Baskets 2007

The Southwest Georgia Employer Committee, along with Bainbridge Career Center staff, donated Christmas Holiday gift baskets to residents in all five nursing homes in our four county areas of Decatur, Early, Miller and Seminole counties during December 2007 in an effort to spread holiday cheer and joy to those individuals.
