Houston County Career Center held their Employees Of The Year ceremony on August 7, 2008. Iva Greene won the Customer Service award, and Dew O'Gorman won the Team Player Award for program year 2007-2008.

The Middle Georgia Employer Committee at the February meeting presented Faithful Service Award certificates for attendance and participation to the following members at its recently held meeting.

 

Macon Career Center 2007 Employee Awards Celebration

On August 9, 2007 the Middle Georgia Employer committee sponsored a customer Service and Team Player Award for the Macon Career Center Staff. The Team Player Award went to Daphne Evans, a DOL Services Specialist 3. The Customer Service Award went to Brenda Ferrara, an Employer Marketing Representative.

 

Houston County 2007 Employee Of The Year Awards Celebration

Houston County Career Center held their Employee Of The Year Awards Celebration on July 26, 2007. The MIddle Georgia Employer Committee was represented by Buddy McGehee, Chair; Bruce Hullett, Treasurer; and Al Elvins, Past Chair. Jane Simpson, Manager of the career center, thanked the Employer Committee for their financial and personal support for the employee awards program.

Notice of Federal Complete Compliance Poster Availability

The Federal Government has created a NEW mandatory labor law poster that will be effective on July 1, 2007 due to scheduled increase in Federal minimum wage. The new poster also covers USERRA, the Uniform Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. ALL employers must display this USERRA notice, regardless of industry or number of employees.
