ABAC JOB FAIR A BIG SUCCESS

 

The regular meeting of the "Rising Star" South Metro employer committee featured a special treat and value added service. The June meeting was devoted to improving awareness and increasing the capacity to prolong life. We welcomed Mike Willingham from the American Heart Association who first shared startling statistics about low survival rates of heart attack victims and he followed up with CPR training. He advised us that communities with the higher survival rates represented aware communities, educated in preventative measures and trained to administer emergency CPR treatment. We were each issued a kit that included our own “dummy” and given hands on training. Each participant left the meeting feeling enlightened, empowered and grateful as we look forward to the certificate that will be issued. And still we rise!
