Toccoa EC Awards Scholarship
Stephens County High School graduate Quentin Neal (center) was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the Northeast Georgia Employer Committee. Neal, the son of Roger and Carolyn Neal, plans to attend Armstrong Atlantic University in Savannah beginning in August. The Northeast Georgia Committee presents a scholarship each year to a graduating senior. The group is composed of professionals from area businesses. The group meets in conjunction with the local Personnel Committee for lunch on the third Thursday of each month. Educational programs and idea exchanges are a part of the meetings. The group also holds at least one workplace seminar each year for area business associates to attend.
The guest speaker was Jonathan Martin, an Attorney with the Law Firm Constangy, Brooks and Smith. There was 82 employers that attended this event.
