Committee members accept award from Georgia Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond

 

The “Georgia Employer Committee Oscar Awards Banquet” was also well attended by more than 400 guests.  Several of our local committees competed for the Community Service of the Year Award, Project of the Year Award and Committee of the Year Award. This year’s awards program also included a Special “Spirit Award” and “Rising Star Award”.

Georgia Department of Labor staff were also recognized with various awards including Manager of the Year, the Platinum Award, the Gold Star Award, the Larry D. Beck Spirit Award and several High Achievement Awards. Vocational Rehabilitation staff were also recognized with the Region Job Placement Award, School to Work Award, Sprit Award, Innovation Award and the Unit Community Involvement Award.
