Golden Isles Give Back to the Community Program
For our December 2011 Give Back to the Community Program we adopted residents at Sears Manor Nursing Home who do not have visitors. Members attending the meeting brought in much needed items that included various sizes of Men/Women’s: pajamas, gowns, socks, slippers and house shoes, blankets and throws, Kleenex, toiletries, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, lotion, hair brushes, combs, etc., activity books and sugar free Hard Candy. 
DeKalb/Rockdale Bring Christmas Greetings to Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility 
On December 20th 2011, The DeKalb Career Center teamed up with ista North America and The DeKalb/Rockdale employer committee to go out and bring a little Holiday cheer to the residents of Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Tucker Georgia. We were able to present approximately 100 gift bags and Holiday stockings to the residents.
Cairo/Grady County Employer Committee
Kicks Off 2012 with Big News for Employers 
On January 10, 2012, the Cairo/Grady County Employer Committee hosted a breakfast with a presentation from Rebecca O’Neil of Southwest Georgia Workforce 44. The topic of interest to employers was how to save their company $$$$ in training costs by using the OJT program available to them.
Moultrie Donates to Food Bank 
The Colquitt County Employer Committee and Team Moultrie Staff donated non-perishable items for the food bank during Christmas season. Andy Jordan, Colquitt County Food Bank, accepted the non-perishables collected for the Food Bank which provided need meals for families in the local community for Christmas season..
Covington/Newton Chamber of Commerce hosted a Breakfast & Learn 
On December 15, 2011, the Covington Area Employer Committee and the Covington/Newton Chamber of Commerce hosted a Breakfast & Learn. Guest speaker was Jonathan Martin, Partner with the law firm Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC, specializing in class action litigation, labor relations, litigation-employment and litigation-prevention and defense, as well as workers compensation defense.
